CISRS launches new card schemes for scaffolding inspection
The Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS), which aims to ensure that operatives working on scaffolding are properly trained and have sufficient experience, are launching 2 new card schemes for Scaffold Inspection.
The Basic Inspection card will be aimed at those responsible for inspecting tube and fitting scaffolds – applicants will be expected to have previous experience of scaffolding structures.
The Advanced Scaffold Inspection card will be aimed at those who will be responsible for inspecting complex tubes and fitting scaffolds – applicants will need to have held the Basic Inspection card for a minimum of 2 years before attending this course.
Both cards will be valid for 5 years, after which the operatives will need to take a refresher course before their card can be renewed to ensure they are up to date with industry standards.
